Advent and Christmas:
The Joyous Sounds of Christmas is LMPC's annual Christmas concert and is Sunday, December 12, 2010, at 4:00 & 6:00 p.m. The Chancel Choir, children’s choirs, chamber orchestra and congregation will join together in singing carols and classics recounting the Savior’s birth. Nursery will be provided.
The Festival of Lessons and Carols is held on Christmas Eve at 3:00, 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. This beautiful candlelight service includes the Christmas narrative from scripture, vocal and instrumental music, carols for the congregation, and a Christmas homily/children's sermon.
The Spring Concert is on a Sunday evening at 6 p.m. in late April or early May. In the past it has included master works (Handel's Messiah, Brahms' Requiem, Rutter's Requiem,) anthems, hymns and spirituals performed by our own and guest musicians. This year's concert will include some of the choir's favorite anthems, hymn arrangements and spirituals which will be sung a cappella, with organ, piano, harp and cello accompaniment.
